Hello! M name is Mikayia Rust.

I am a 21 year old Junior at Morgan State University, an aspiring Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and a current Registered Behavior Technician. While my professional life is dedicated to understanding human behavior, I’ve always to uncovering a history that was once lost to me.

As a Black American woman navigating the complex journey of not knowing my specific ancestral roots, I created this platform to bridge the gap between historical research and personal discovery.

Through this blog, I’ll be sharing my views, my academic assignments, and my reflections on the African Diaspora. This is a space for us to explore how our past shapes our present even when the map to that past isn’t always clear.
